GMO: Some UN organizations store fuel, leaving desperate hospitals to face tragedies

GAZA, Feb. 05 (YPA) -Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) has criticized UN organizations for storing fuel in the Gaza Strip and leaving desperate hospitals to face tragedies without helping it.

In a statement on Tuesday, GMO expressed dismay at some UN organizations in Gaza “for piling thousands of liters of fuel in their warehouses while Gaza’s hospitals and humanitarian institutions are facing a severe shortage.”

GMO warned that the severe fuel shortage at Gaza’s hospitals, especially in the north, threatens the lives of patients and wounded people, calling such a practice an “unjustified behavior that contradicts the UN’s humanitarian and moral duty.”

GMO said that such a UN behavior, which it also described as “serious,” reflects the failure of these organizations to perform the mission assigned to them in light of the unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
