Sanaa calls foreigners illegally residing in Yemen to correct their status
SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The Immigration, Passports, and Nationality Authority in Sanaa called on the foreigners illegally residing in Yemen on Tuesday to correct their residence conditions and exploit the partial exemption grant from fines, which was announced for a limited period of time.
According to the Ministry of Interior’s Security Information Center, the exemption grant includes a 50% reduction in fines, with the aim of encouraging foreign residents to correct their legal conditions. The period of benefit from this reduction began on January 20 and will continue until February 20 of 2025.
The authority also affirmed that foreigners who reside illegally and did not initiate the correction of their conditions during the specified deadline will be subject to appropriate legal procedures in accordance with the applicable laws.
