WORLD, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Several Palestinians with Polish citizenship have filed a complaint with Polish authorities calling for the arrest of Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch, who arrived in Poland over the weekend to attend a ceremony tomorrow marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the Kan public broadcaster reported on Sunday.
According to Israeli public broadcasting, a complaint has been filed with the Polish public prosecutor’s office, demanding the arrest of Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch while he attends Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies.
The complainants asserted that Kisch, who served as an Israeli fighter pilot, is responsible for alleged war crimes in the Gaza Strip, including the deaths of some of the complainants’ family members.
The complaint came as a part of a protest against the Polish government’s announcement that it would not arrest senior Israeli officials wanted by the International Criminal Court.
