Update: Death toll from fresh Israeli violations on Lebanon rises to 22

BEIRUT, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israel occupation attacks on the border areas of in southern Lebanon has risen to 22 citizens.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a fresh statement that the 146 others, including 9 children and a paramedic, were wounded also in these attacks.

Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli occupation attacked citizens while they were returning to the towns of Houla and Kfar Kila, and arrested two citizens in the town of Houla and took them to one of its centers.

The sources said that the roads leading to dozens of border towns in southern Lebanon were being witnessed heavy congestion, as residents attempted to return to the areas surrounding their towns.

The 60-day deadline, given for the Israeli army forces for the withdrawal of southern Lebanon, under the ceasefire agreement that began on November 27,2024, and ended in January 26, 2025, while the occupation continued their deployment in some border areas in southern Lebanon, in clear violation of the agreement.
