HODEIDA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The Agricultural Cooperative Union has signed an agreement to market the cotton crop between the General Corporation for Spinning and Weaving and the Cooperative Union branch in Hodeida province.
The agreement included determining the prices of cotton buying from cooperative societies, as it was decided that the price of the first pick be 370 riyals for one kilo, and in the second pick is 340 riyals for one kilo. The societies are also obliged to supply the agreed quantities of the crop in both picks.
Under the agreement, the Cooperative Union branch will create a comprehensive database that includes the cultivated lands and production quantities supplied from each field.
The agreement aims to improve productivity measurement in cultivated areas and enhance cooperation between the corporation and the agricultural associations. It also seeks to ensure that the appropriate fields are selected to select seeds for the next season, which will contribute to expanding cotton cultivation and significantly increasing production.
