GPC rejects US designation against Ansarullah

SANAA, Jan. 24 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based General People’s Congress Party (GPC) on Wednesday completely rejected the new US administration’s announcement to re-designate Ansarullah as a terrorist organization.

This came in a consultative meeting headed by Sadiq bin Amin Abu Ras who considered the announcement as the double standards adopted by Washington, which attempts to do negatively affects in achieving Yemen peace.

The meeting praised for the honorable Yemeni position in supporting the brothers in Palestine and Gaza against the Zionist aggression and the measures taken by the Yemeni armed forces in this regard, welcoming the release of the crew of the Galaxy Leader ship, which came as proof of the credibility of the Yemeni position in placing the ship and its crew at the disposal of Hamas Movement in Gaza, which was done after consulting with it.

It also appreciated the step taken by the Sanaa government to pay half the salary to state employees, stressing that it was a step in the right direction and would contribute to alleviating the suffering of state employees.

The GPC’s meeting condemned the discordant voices that appear from time to time calling for secession, affirmed that these calls, which reflect external agendas and plans, would fail, as the Yemeni people will stand united to defend their unity, sovereignty and independence.
