Oxfam: US designation against Ansarullah to exacerbate human suffering

SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Oxfam has commented on US President Donald Trump’s decision to designate Ansarullah in Yemen as a “foreign terrorist organization”.

“The Trump administration’s designation of Ansarullah as a ‘terrorist organization’ will only exacerbate the suffering of Yemenis,” Oxfam said in a statement on Thursday.

The statement added: “The Trump administration is aware of the consequences of the decision on the Yemenis and has chosen to proceed with it and will bear responsibility for its repercussions.”

On Wednesday, the US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to designate Ansarullah in Yemen as a “foreign terrorist organization.” The decision will come into effect within 30 days of its issuance.
