Armed robbery results in citizen being injured, his money stolen in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 23 (YPA) – The southern Yemeni city of Aden, which is under the Saudi-led coalition’s control, has witnessed an armed robbery of the revenues of a gas filling station, which resulted in the injury of an employee.

Local sources reported that masked gunmen on a motorbike intercepted Adham Maqtari, an employee at the station in the Jabal al-Eidaroos area in Crater, on Wednesday and looted a daily sales bag at gunpoint.

The two gunmen shot Maqtari, injuring him in the feet, before fleeing to an unknown destination, the sources added.

The incident comes amid increasing security chaos in the city since 2016, which exacerbates residents’ fears.
