Trump cancels sanctions on Zionist settlers, freezes aid to Palestinians

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The new US President, Donald Trump, signed on Tuesday multiple executive decisions that would cancel more than 80 decisions and executive laws of former President Joe Biden.

These decisions include lifting sanctions imposed by Biden on extremist Israeli settlers who use violence against Palestinian citizens, withdrawing from the World Health Organization, exiting the Paris Climate Agreement, and lifting the ban on drilling in designated environmental preserves, among other measures.

Trump also signed an executive order targeting foreign nationals involved in anti-Israel protests that have spread across the country since October 7, 2023. The order is framed as a measure to protect the United States from foreign terrorists and other threats to national and public security. It further stipulates that the government must remain vigilant when issuing visas to foreign citizens, ensuring that those approved do not intend to harm Americans or their national interests.

It is noteworthy that Trump ran his election campaign pledging to suppress anti-Israeli entity protests, especially those that broke out on university campuses, but it is not yet clear exactly how he will do that, given the freedom of expression laws in the United States.
