Sanaa: We will closely observe Israeli entity’s adherence to ceasefire in Gaza

SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council in Sanaa affirmed on Sunday that the Republic of Yemen continues to monitor the Zionist entity’s adherence to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which came into effect this morning.

In its statement, the council said that “the Yemeni Armed Forces remain fully prepared and vigilant, ready to respond to any developments as part of their commitment to supporting the Palestinian people through all possible means.”

The council also extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of martyrs in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran who sacrificed their lives on the path to Al-Quds. It congratulated the soon-to-be-released prisoners and their families, attributing their imminent freedom to divine grace, the sacrifices of resistance fighters, and their steadfastness.

Reaffirming Yemen’s unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance, the council stressed its dedication to achieving full liberation from Zionist occupation while providing all necessary forms of assistance toward this goal.

The council commended the significant role played by the Yemeni people and the armed forces in backing the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that this support will persist without interruption.

Additionally, the council expressed admiration for the effective operations carried out by resistance fronts in Lebanon and Iraq despite existing challenges while acknowledging the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran in aiding the Palestinian people in their struggle against occupation.
