Lowest temperatures recorded at some areas of Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced on Saturday that the lowest temperatures recorded at some areas of Yemen.

According to the forecasts of the center, the lowest temperatures recorded at ground level on Earth were 00.5, in Amran, 00.6 in Dhamar, 00.8 in Al Bayda, 02.0 at Sanaa, 06.7 at Ibb: 06.8at Seiyun, 08.8 degrees Celsius in Taiz.

The center affirmed that the highlands of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj and Abyan and Marib and Jawf, Hajjah, Mahweet and Rayma, would be clear and cold.

It pointed out that the coastal areas would be partly cloudy to cloudy on the southern coasts and the adjacent inland areas, and on the rest of the coasts, with the active winds on the southern Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching a maximum speed of 25 knots.

According to the center, the atmosphere in deserts of Hadramout and Shabwa also would be clear and cold, with moderate to active winds.

It renewed its warnings to citizens in the highlands and deserts, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late hours of the night and early morning from the cold weather.
