Earthquake hits district in Dhamar

DHAMAR, Jan. 18 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center recorded, on Saturday, an earthquake west of Dhamar governorate.

The head of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar governorate, Eng. Mohammed Hussein Mutahhar Al-Houthi, explained that the monitoring stations recorded a light earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale in Otmah district at 2:00 pm, according to what was reported by “26 September Net”.

He pointed out that the center is monitoring developments in seismic activity in various Yemeni regions and neighboring countries.
