Emirati weapons caches found in Wad Madani, Sudan

KHARTOUM, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Videos and images circulated recently online have revealed a warehouse stocked with Emirati ammunition and missiles in the city of Wad Madani, Sudan.

This comes after the Sudanese Armed Forces regained control of the strategic city, driving out the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The footage shows members of the Sudanese army inspecting the warehouse filled with large supply crates, with one soldier claiming that all the weapons present originated from the UAE.

On Saturday, the Sudanese Armed Forces, in coordination with allied armed groups, declared their capture of Wad Madani, the capital city of Al Jazirah State, which had been under RSF control for a year. The RSF has been engaged in a civil conflict against the Sudanese army since April 2023.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, leader of the RSF and commonly known as Hemedti, acknowledged the loss of the city but emphasized that the battle is far from over.
