SANAA, Jan. 11 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, affirmed on Saturday that Yemen will continue in its firm position in supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
This came in the speech he delivered on the first anniversary of the US-British aggression on Yemen, al-Mashat explained the full support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is a humanitarian and religious position aimed at stopping the US-Israeli aggression against an oppressed and defenceless people in the Strip.
“Our operations in support of Palestine will not be affected, God willing, no matter how much you try to conspire here or escalate there, and we have prepared for all possibilities,” he added.
Mr. President praised the positions of some countries that refused to participate in any hostile action against the Republic of Yemen, as well as the countries that refused to allow the American to launch an aggression against Yemen from their territories.
He warned against the consequences of any involvement by anyone in the aggression against Yemen.
Al-Mashat said that Yemen had thwarted the American-British-Zionist aggression against Yemen on January 12, 2024, with the goal of supporting the criminal Israeli enemy and helping it continue its genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
He also stressed that the position that America must take is to stop the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, end the horrific massacres and genocide against children, women and the elderly, and lift the siege, in addition to stop its aggression against Yemen. “This is the only solution to restore peace in the region.”
President al-Mashat stated that the Yemeni armed forces managed, through intelligence, to preempt and thwart multiple American and British plans that were preparing to carry out extensive aggressive operations against Yemen.
“In addition to its military aggression, the Americans have tried to impose political, economic and humanitarian pressures,” he revealed. “Since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, we have received many threats, but they have not and will not affect our position.”
President Al-Mashat stressed the readiness of the Yemeni people and armed forces to defend Yemen, its people, interests and gains in the face of any aggression.
Al-Mashat warned those involved in betraying the country. stressing that there would be no tolerance for anyone who acts in the service of the Israeli enemy.
