Sanaa warns coalition of continuing to loot Yemen natural resources

SANAA, Jan. 12 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Oil and Minerals revealed on Saturday the large-scale operations to loot the natural resources in areas under the control of the coalition in southern Yemen.

In a statement, the ministry described the operations as “blatant violations” the that the coalition countries and the Aden government have committed in the southern and eastern islands and provinces of Yemen.

The statement pointed out that these violations included the systematic looting of mineral resources through suspicious deals, the latest of which was the export of a huge shipment of black sand ores through the port of Mukalla in Hadramout, calling on Sanaa forces to take immediate action to stop this unjust looting and protect the wealth of the Yemeni people.

The ministry’s statement warned all companies against cooperating with the coalition forces in these moves, stressing that Yemen’s wealth is the Yemeni people just.

It held the companies involved in the looting of wealth fully responsible for its consequences, noting that it would take its legal right to pursue and hold accountable anyone involved in looting Yemen’s wealth.

Sanaa forces had stopped several operations to loot the Yemeni oil wealth through Hadramout’s Al-Dabbah oil port and Al-Nashima of Shabwa by carrying out a number of military operations in October 2022.
