Leader in Sit-in committee in Mahra declares escalation steps against foreign forces

MAHRA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – A leader in the sit-in committee against foreign forces in Al Mahra governorate, eastern Yemen, announced painful escalation steps in the coming days.

The leader of the committee, Muslim Rafeet, confirmed in a post on Facebook yesterday, that Al-Mahra will witness a broad popular movement in the coming days.

He pointed out that the foreign and regional forces present inside Al-Ghaydah Civil Airport will be the target unless they stop their violations against the security and military institutions and they will be replaced by other forces with Saudi support and orders led by groups that have nothing to do with military matters,” he said.

He explained that the local movement will include festivals, demonstrations, slogans and other escalatory steps, with the participation of various people of Mahra, targeting foreign and regional forces stationed at Al-Ghaydah Civil Airport since 2017.
