Senior STC leader attacked in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 05 (YPA) – A leader of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions was attacked on Sunday in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

A local source in the province affirmed that unknown gunmen believed to be affiliated with terrorist elements targeted the vehicle of the commander of the Sixth Brigade factions, Ali Nasser Al-Makar, with an explosive device in Mudiyah district, east of the province.

The sources explained that the explosion caused direct damage to the military vehicle, without mentioning any details.
