Cold weather to be expected to go on in Yemen areas

SANAA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – The cold weather will be expected to sweep several Yemeni provinces, accosting to the National Center for Meteorology on Sunday.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that a cold wave may hit the provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, Saada, Dhalea, and Lahj, in addition to Ibb, Abyan, Hadramout and Mahra, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma and Taiz.

He pointed out that the coastal areas would partly cloudy in the Socotra Archipelago, clear to partly cloudy on the western and southern coasts, with the active winds at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.

According to the center, the atmosphere in the desert areas would be clear and cold to very cold during the night and early morning in Marib and Jawf.

It renewed its warnings to citizens in the mountainous highlands, interior plateaus and deserts of cold and very cold weather.
