Number of journalists killed in Gaza exceeds that of World War II

GAZA, Dec. 31 (YPA) -The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) revealed on Tuesday that the number of journalists in the Gaza Strip who were martyred in the Zionist genocide war exceeded three times the number of victims of World War II.

The center stated in a statement on the occasion of the Palestinian Journalist Loyalty Day, which falls today, that the heavy losses suffered by Palestinian journalists in the war on Gaza will have long-term effects on journalism in Palestine and the entire region.

The statement urged the international community to urgently intervene to stop the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinian journalists who face serious challenges in light of the fierce Zionist campaign that aims to silence them and prevent them from conveying the truth to the world.

It stressed that the international community should assume its responsibilities and take decisive measures to stop the Zionist violations and ensure respect for human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.
