Teachers of Higher Institute carry out comprehensive strike in Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 29 (YPA) – Teachers at the Higher Institute for Teacher Training and Rehabilitation, which is under the control of the coalition in Taiz governorate, announced, on Sunday, the start of a comprehensive strike until their delayed salaries are paid in full.

The teachers confirmed that the strike came to demand the payment of their salaries that have been delayed by the coalition government since last October.

They called on the government and local authorities to improve their living conditions, and explained that the strike came after teachers held protests during December.

The coalition government did not pay any attention to the teachers in Taiz to their legitimate demands to alleviate their living suffering due to the economic collapse and the rise in prices of basic commodities.
