NOUAKCHOTT, Dec. 27 (YPA) – Hundreds of Mauritanians protested in front of the US embassy in Nouakchott on Thursday, demanding an end to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has lasted for more than 14 months.
The participants in the demonstration chanted slogans calling on the United States to stop its military support for the occupation.
They raised pictures of the late Hamas leaders Yehya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, as well as Palestinian and Mauritanian flags.
The protesters held the United States responsible for the continuation of Israeli genocide in Gaza and confirmed their determination to continue organizing activities and protests in front of the embassies of countries supporting the occupation until the genocide against the Palestinians ends.
The protest was organized by the Student Initiative to Resist Zionist Penetration and Defend Just Causes,” which is a non-governmental organization dedicated to organizing events supporting Palestine.
