WORLD, Dec. 27 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa International Airport, the Red Sea ports and power stations in Yemen are especially alarming.
He pointed out that these Israeli airstrikes on the Red Sea ports and Sanaa airport pose serious risks to Yemen’s vital supplies.

Earlier on Thursday, Sanaa’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jamal Amer, condemned Israel’s bombing of Yemen’s infrastructure, stating that it demonstrates failure and helplessness.
In a post on his account on the “X” platform, Amer explained that the Israeli enemy aircraft targeted the runways and tower of Sanaa airport after the United Nations’ plane carrying the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, landed.
Amer considered the timing of the Israeli airstrikes on the airport, which occurred while Dr. Tedros and the UN Resident Coordinator in Sanaa were preparing to leave as targeting and disdain for the UN.
The foreign minister condemned “this terrorist crime,” calling on the UN and other relevant organizations to criminalize such acts that contradict international principles and laws.
