Sanaa condemns Israeli attacks, calls on UN to intervene

SANAA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The Foreign Minister of the Sanaa government, Jamal Amer, called on Saturday on the United Nations to take urgent action to halt the repeated Israeli attacks on civilian and service facilities in Yemen.

This came during Amer’s meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sanaa, Julian Harnees.

In the meeting, Amer pointed to the targeting of Hodeida ports and Haziz and Dhabhan power plants by the Zionist entity, which directly affects the lives of civilians and threatens security and stability in the region.

Amer considered these attacks a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, calling on the international organization to assume its responsibilities in protecting civilians and providing the necessary support to rehabilitate the damaged facilities.

For his part, Harnees affirmed that the United Nations will work to provide the necessary humanitarian assistance to those affected by these attacks and will exert efforts to pressure the international community to stop these aggressions.
