Two people subjected to assassination attempt in Marib

MARIB, Dec. 15 (YPA) – Two people were subjected to a new assassination by unknown gunmen in Al Wadi district of Marib city, which is under the control of the Islah factions.

Local sources said that the killed from Al-Amir tribes were targeted on Saturday near the Bin Maili station in the district.

The sources affirmed that the gunmen opened fire on the car carrying the two people and fled to an unknown destination, without revealing the details of the incident.

This came after the assassination of the tribal sheikh, Mohammed Salem bin Jalal Al-Obaidi, in the Al-Jalal area east of the city of Marib at the end of the second week.

Last week, the UAE-backed General People’s Congress leader, Kamel Al-Khodani, and three of his companions were injured in an assassination attempt by unknown gunmen after he arrived in Marib areas that Islah Party is taking over to celebrate the anniversary of the killing of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
