DAMASCUS, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) repelled attacks launched by Turkish occupation army and its armed factions on the Tishrin Dam and the Karkozak Bridge in northern Syria.
Syrian media sources reported that the SDF carried out a series of precise operations in the cities of Manbij and Kobani, killing several members of the Turkey-backed armed factions and destroying several military vehicles.
According to the sources, The Turkish army and its factions launched an attack from three axes on the Tishrin Dam, southeast of Manbij, leading to intense clashes between the SDF and the attackers.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Turkish army used tanks and drones in the assault.
These clashes come a day after an announcement of a ceasefire agreement.
Earlier, The SDF commander Mazloum Abdi, announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached in Manbij via US mediation.
