Cold wave sweeping different areas of Yemen expected

SANAA, Dec. 07 (YPA) – A cold wave sweeping different areas of Yemeni provinces will be expected, according to the National Center of Meteorology on Saturday.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that cold weather would target the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.

It called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold weather.

The center urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural guidelines to protect their crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers, to protect them from the effects of severe cold.
