ADEN, Dec. 02 (YPA) – The UAE revealed a new plan to impose a different reality in Aden city and the rest of the coalition-run southern provinces, away from the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s project.
Head of the UAE-affiliated Center for Political Studies, Khaled Al-Shamiri, described in a post on the “X” platform the return of Saudi-backed leader of the General People’s Congress Party, Sultan Al-Barakani, to the city of Aden as a suspicious move at this time.
He added that Al-Barakani’s return with the members of the House of Representatives loyal to the coalition to Aden is part of a “plan to impose a reality that the southern street being rejected.”
Al-Shamiri said that Al-Barakani’s return to Aden is the step that ignores what he called “the will of the people of the south,” indicating that these moves are aimed at turning back the clock, in reference to ending the STC’s project.
“There is an exposed conspiracy to seize the southern identity and abort its legitimate aspirations,”Al-Shamiri added.
