Cold wave expected to sweep various areas of Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Wednesday cold weather sweeping a number of Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that partly cloudy and cold weather may target the provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, Saada, Ibb and Dhalea, with forming scattered cells of cumulonimbus clouds.

The bulletin stated that the weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Socotra Archipelago with scattered rain on the eastern and southern coasts and parts of the western coasts and the adjacent inland areas.

It warned citizens in mountainous areas and interior plateaus, especially children, the elderly and workers during the night and early morning hours, of the cold weather.
