French soldier killed in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) in Lebanon declared on Saturday a French soldier was killed and three others were slightly injured in a traffic accident on a coastal road in southern Lebanon.

The UNIFIL said in a statement said that a convoy belonging to it was involved in a traffic accident near the town of Shamaa while heading to the headquarters in Naqoura.

Earlier, UNIFIL forces said that its headquarters in the western sector of the town of Shamaa, south of Lebanon, was subjected to artillery shelling, resulting in material damage.
