Meteorology expects cold wave in various provinces of Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected a cold wave in various provinces of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the atmosphere will be clear and cold in the mountainous highlands of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Dhalea and Abyan.

The bulletin pointed out that the clear to partly cloudy weather will target, with scattered light to moderate rain, parts of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz and Lahj.

The center stated that the weather in the coastal areas is partly cloudy with the possibility of scattered rains on the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the Tihama Plain, while the winds will be strong, reaching speeds of 27 knots.

It explained that the desert areas are characterized by clear to partly cloudy weather, with the light to moderate winds.

The center’s bulletin warned citizens in the aforementioned areas to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather, especially children, school students, the elderly and workers during the night and early morning hours.
