SANAA, Nov. 08 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning issued important alerts for all citizens regarding the expected weather conditions in the coming hours.
The center predicted scattered rainfall in several provinces, along with cold weather in seven provinces during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin on Friday, the center forecasted that scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, would hit parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Rima, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Saada, and Socotra Archipelago, as well as parts of the highlands, Tihama plain, and the southern and eastern coasts.
The center also indicated that cold weather is expected during the night and early morning in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Ibb and Al-Dhalea.
The center called on citizens to not be in the valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, and to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned motorists on mountain roads of low horizontal visibility during rain, and of crossing bridges and underground tunnels during the flow of torrents.
The center further warned elderly people, children, and workers in the mountainous regions during the night and early morning hours to be mindful of the cold weather conditions.
