SANAA, Nov. 07 (YPA) – An “Israeli” spy application, pre-installed on “Samsung” phones in the “A” and “M” series was revealed to target users in the Middle East, North Africa, and Lebanon.
Platform, Samaks, specialized in information security revealed the presence of an “Israeli” spy application on “Samsung” phones in the “A” and “M” series, directed at the users.
The application was found to be called “AppCloud” and installs an additional application called “Aura”, which in turn installs other applications that collect personal data of users such as IP address, device location, and digital fingerprint, without the possibility of disabling permissions or preventing it from running in the background.
Reports indicated that the application is the result of an agreement between “Samsung Middle East” and an “Israeli” company, which raises questions about the digital security of Samsung phone users.
The platform published technical steps to disable the application, but it may require deep technical expertise.
This step comes to raise growing concerns about the extent of the penetration of Zionist arms into the digital sector in the Arab and Islamic region.
