Israeli occupation forces continue raid on Jenin, destroying infrastructure, property

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued their raid on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp since the early hours of Wednesday morning, causing widespread destruction to infrastructure and property.

According to Palestinian sources, a large number of military vehicles entered the city from the Dotan military checkpoint, deploying through the neighborhoods of Al-Maraj, Al-Sharqi, Al-Zahra, and the entrance to Jenin.

The forces raided several homes and conducted searches. Meanwhile, reinforcements, along with a military bulldozer, arrived from the Jalma checkpoint and began operating around the Jenin refugee camp.

The Israeli bulldozer started demolishing streets near the UNRWA school in the camp and at the entrance to Jenin camp, as well as clearing citizens’ properties in the area.

The Jenin Education Directorate announced the suspension of in-person classes for students in both public and private schools, as well as kindergartens, for Wednesday, shifting to online learning instead.

Earlier, the occupation forces also raided the town of Burqin, southwest of Jenin, at dawn, where they stormed homes and carried out searches.
