ADEN, Nov. 05 (YPA) – A prominent leader in the “Southern Movement” on Tuesday accused the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) of working to tear apart the movement and its components for the benefit of external parties.
The leader of the movement and academic at the University of Aden, Abdul Rahman Al-Wali, said, “Thank you to the STC who brought the door of Yemen to Aden.”
He added that the STC worked to tear apart the “Southern Movement” and its components, indicating that there are fake parties that have begun to arrive and roam in Aden.
Al-Wali pointed out that the STC worked to “perpetuate and stabilize the occupation, and there is no justification for what is going on except that personal interests are above principles, which is unfortunate.”
This comes after the STC entered a partner in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition and with the “Leadership Council,” to be officially part of what is called “Yemeni legitimacy,” away from the project that the “Southern Movement” had been demanding since 2007.
