HADRAMOUT, 03 (YPA) – Dozens of faculty members and their assistants in Hadramout University organized a protest rally on Sunday to express their strong dissatisfaction with the practices of the coalition-backed Aden government.
The members, in a joint statement with Hadramout University Employees, called on the government to reconsider the salaries of university employees, indicating that they are not sufficient to meet their basic needs.
The statement stressed the importance of achieving job justice for all university members, in accordance with the specificity of their job affiliation with universities and the executive regulations of the Yemeni universities law and its amendments.
The rally represented a serious demand by the university for the rights of its employees, and an urgent call to reconsider the low salaries.
