Ship carrying explosive materials for Israel docks in Egyptian port

WEST BANK, Oct. 31 (YPA) – The general coordinator of the Palestinian boycott movement to boycott Israel (BDS), Mahmoud Nawajaa, said on Thursday that the ship “Catherine,” loaded with explosive materials belonging to the Zionist occupation, docked in the port of Alexandria last Monday.

Al-Nawajaa added that several countries refused to receive the ship, including Malta, Namibia, and Angola, because it was carrying a military shipment on its way to fuel the Zionist war machine in its war on Gaza and its military aggression against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

He pointed out that allowing a ship loaded with military materials to support the occupation to use Egyptian waters and ports is a step that may place the Egyptian authorities under direct legal responsibility in accordance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.

Al-Nawajaa said that the responsible authorities must be pressured to open an investigation into whether the arrival of shipments loaded with weapons and explosives, destined for “Israel,” was facilitated through Egyptian lands and waters.
