SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Sanaa-based Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jamal Amer, confirmed on Tuesday Sanaa’s readiness to sign a peace roadmap with Saudi Arabia, which considers an original party in the war on Yemen.
This came during his meeting with the Senior Advisor to the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Fatima Al-Zahra.
In the meeting, Minister Amer said that the UN must convince Riyadh to proceed with peace steps.
He affirmed that Riyadh had succumbed to American dictates, which agreed with signing the roadmap and the start of paying salaries in exchange for Sanaa stopping its military operations in the Red Sea, which was confirmed to be rejected due to the lack of connection between the two files.
Amer reiterated the continuation of the Yemeni position in providing support and assistance to the Palestinian brothers until the military aggression is ended and food, medicine and fuel is entered the Gaza Strip as a humanitarian and moral duty towards the war crimes and genocide that American and European-supported Zionist entity has committed against the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The Minister stressed that within the framework of confidence-building efforts, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen is to be expected to continue working to implement the roadmap and express this clearly and publicly.
For her part, the Unofficial explained that the United Nations would continue its good efforts to achieve peace and a comprehensive peaceful political settlement led by Yemen.
