WORLD, Oct. 25 (YPA) -The US State Department has approved the potential sale of TOW missiles to Saudi Arabia for an estimated cost of $440 million, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
The Pentagon’s statement indicated that the principal contractor will be RTX Corporation in Tucson, Arizona, with Washington being the main arms supplier to the Kingdom and several countries in the region.
The deal includes the “TOW 2A” and “TOW 2B” missiles, which feature optical guidance and can be controlled remotely using radio frequencies.
