Member of STC factions killed in Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 12 (YPA) – A member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions was killed in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that a recruit of the STC factions, named “Saleh Al-Dahma,” was killed yesterday, Friday, by unidentified gunmen believed to belong to Al-Qaeda organization in Wadi Omran in the Modiya District, east of Zenjbar City, the center of the province.

The STC factions have been subjected to multiple attacks since the announcement of the so-called “Siham Al-Sharq” operation in August 2022 to control the Islah Party camps in Abyan, following their control of the camps in the Ataq axis and the “Special Security Forces” camp in Shabwa province during the same month.
