Yemen army seizes new military sites in Jawf

JAWF, Feb. 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday took control over strategic sites, mountains and valleys in Yatmah area of Jawf province, where the Saudi-backed militias were stationed, a military official told Yemen Press agency.

JAWF, Feb. 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday took control over strategic sites, mountains and valleys in Yatmah area of Jawf province, where the Saudi-backed militias were stationed, a military official told Yemen Press agency.

The army carried out a large-scale military operation in the area, taking control of the sites, the official said.

The seized sites are Habash Mountain and surrounding hills, Qa’if, Salbeh valleys, al-Tebab al-Hamr, Homar Sayd, Tuathna, and Kahal mountains.

Scores of coalition’s militants were killed and injured, including military leaders, and 21 militants were captured during the confrontations, as well as destroying 11 military vehicles and seizing quantity of weapons and ammunition, according to the official.
