Iran, Oman conduct joint naval exercises

MUSCAT, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The Royal Navy of Oman and the Iranian Naval Forces, with the support of the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Oman Police, and the Maritime Security Center, carried out on Thursday the course of the annual joint naval exercise (search and rescue).

The exercise, which was carried out in the Omani territorial sea, included a number of military training areas, in addition to applying the most important modern procedures and methods to coordinate joint sea and air search and rescue operations in accordance with the established exercise plan.

Implementing the annual joint exercise (Search and Rescue) comes within the periodic training plans pursued by the Sultan’s Armed Forces with brotherly and friendly countries, which aim to exchange experiences and maintain high efficiency in a number of military fields.
