Pro-Palestinian rally in Argentina commemorates one year of Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

WORLD, Oct. 08 (YPA) Dozens of people took part in a pro-Palestine rally in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, to mark one year since the start of the aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The rally was organized by the Argentine Solidarity Committee with the Palestinian People, featuring academic bodies, human rights, union, and religious figures, as well as representatives from political parties and members of the Arab and Islamic communities, along with hundreds of Argentine supporters.

The rally, held in the Plaza de Mayo in front of the Casa Rosada presidential palace, began with a moment of silence for the souls of the martyrs in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, followed by the lighting of candles.

Participants raised Palestinian, Lebanese, Syrian, and Argentine flags, along with banners supporting the rights, freedom, and independence of the Palestinian people, as well as others condemning the Israeli aggression and the genocide being committed in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, and the aggression against Lebanon.

They called for an immediate ceasefire and accountability of the occupying state for its crimes against humanity and violations of international law.

The rally included speeches from numerous human rights and political leaders who expressed their support for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination.

They called for an urgent cessation of the genocide, the termination of the occupation, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
