GAZA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, made on Monday an important speech to mark the one-year anniversary of the operation of the Flood of Al-Aqsa.
In his speech, Abu Obeida said, “We speak to you from the steadfast, defiant Gaza Strip, one year after the most professional and successful commando operation in modern times, which shook the enemy and changed the region.”
“We struck the enemy with a massive preemptive strike after its planning for a major strike against the resistance in Gaza reached its final stages,” he stated. “The Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa came after the enemy’s aggression against Al-Aqsa reached an unprecedented dangerous stage.”
Abu Obeida pointed out that around Palestine “there are raging fronts fighting alongside Palestinian people, supporting them, and fighting the enemy directly, inflicting it heavy losses.”
He affirmed that the Palestinian people have held out with legendary steadfastness despite the betrayal of its neighbors, the cowardice and collusion of the regimes, and despite the brutality of the enemy and the forces of oppression and aggression.
The spokesman explained: “This entity is only being pulled by the usual American administration’s ropes, which will undoubtedly be cut with the passage of time,” stressing that the resistance’s operations are draining the enemy’s security and defense capabilities, inflicting it economic losses.”
“What is happening in the West Bank camps confirms that the enemy’s policy is a strategic decision that is being implemented everywhere in our land,” al-Qassam spokesman explained. “Weapons can only be confronted with weapons, and the recent Jaffa operation is “only one episode in what is to come.”
He also stressed that the Palestinian resistance fighters continue their heroic steadfastness in every inch of the Gaza Strip, explaining that they has killed and wounded thousands of Zionist enemy soldiers, taken hundreds of military vehicles out of service, and developed tactics.
Abu Obaida added that the resistance’s choice to be continued in a long and painful battle of attrition with the enemy, noting that the land of Palestine produces resistance fighters as it produces olives and bequeaths pride to generations after generation.
He stressed that the drones of Yemen and Iraq are roaming the skies of occupied Palestine, striking the enemy and inflicting it heavy losses, in addition to the Iran’s missile strikes that terrorized the enemy a year after the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood.
Abu Obeida said: “addressing the Hezbollah fighters, “We are confident in your strength and power to inflict painful losses on the enemy.”
He praised the role of the Yemeni people in supporting Gaza, saying: “We appreciate the blessed Yemeni front led by Ansarullah and the great popular movement in free Yemen and the million-strong public presence for a year.”
