Islah surprises STC with military force in Shabwa

SHABWA, Oct. 03 (YPA) – The Islah Party-affiliated factions staged a terrifying military parade in the eastern province of Shabwa, raising widespread fears of a potential escalation in the region.

This military parade, which was organized by the Islah factions fleeing from the Ataq axis and the Central Security in the Aarin camp in Armah district, in celebration of the anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, confirmed their presence after their expulsion from Ataq city in August 2022.

Pro-STC activists see the military parade in Aarin as a clear challenge to the Shabwa Defense Forces, despite the call made by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)-affiliated Ataq Axis Commander, Adel Al-Masabi, in May 2023 regarding their return to the city.
