OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 25 (YPA) – Former Israeli Major General Itzhak Brik, said that the detonations of Hezbollah’s Pager devices represent a “noteworthy” tactical event across the board, showcasing advanced intelligence and technological skills.
He added that “Israel has ignored officially to claim its responsibility for this operation, but Hezbollah accuses it and vows a very harsh response.”
According to Brik, “Unfortunately, this tactical event does not change the dangerous strategic reality we are in.”
He pointed out that “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to continue fighting in Gaza means that if this war of attrition lasts for another year, there is a significant possibility of Israel collapsing in all areas.”
He stated: “The incident of Pagers’ explosion has reinforced the certainty regarding the continuation of this war of attrition, with a real danger of a regional war on multiple fronts that may also involve Iran, which would accelerate Israel’s decline.”
Brik also criticized Netanyahu, saying: “I have met with him six times, and today Netanyahu does not act rationally but is driven by the desire to stay in power at any cost.
” Netanyahu continues a war that Israel cannot win. The resistance is beginning to gain control over Jordan as well, with the support of the Iranians and Hezbollah,” he added.
He concluded his remarks by stating that “Netanyahu should have made the decision to stop this senseless fighting that we are losing against Hamas, rather than deciding to fight the entire Arab world,” emphasizing that “Israel will not be able to survive for long without the enlightened Western world, which is distancing itself from us.”
