Road linking Shabwa, Marib cut off due to military rebellion

SHABWA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – Dozens of recruits from the “Ataq Axis” announced, on Saturday, their military rebellion against the coalition by cutting off the road linking the governorates of Shabwa and Marib in front of fuel and gas tankers, in protest against the non-payment of their financial dues.

Informed sources explained that the militants of the “30th Infantry Brigade” in the Ataq axis, blocked the road to gas and fuel tankers heading to Marib at Al-Bayadh site west of the city of Ataq, in protest against the failure to pay them the Saudi bonus by the leadership of the Third Military Region, affiliated with the Islah Party in Marib.

The sources stated that the militants refused to open the road for the tankers in protest against their exclusion from the Saudi grant, in addition to the failure to pay their dues for nearly three months by the region’s leadership.

They stressed that the militants of the “Ataq Axis” refused to open the main road until their demands for the payment of their financial dues were fully met without discrimination between recruits from Shabwa and Marib.
