Four Israeli soldiers killed, five others injured in ambush by Hamas in Rafah

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 18 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged the death of four soldiers, in addition to the wounding of five others, three of them had serious injuries, in ground battles in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Under the “permitted to publish” clause, the Israeli occupation army confirmed that four soldiers, including a deputy company commander, were killed by an improvised explosive device (IED)’s attack on a building in Tal al-Sultan, Rafah.

Among the deceased was Agam Naim, 20, a paramedic with the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, from Mishmarot, marking her as the first female soldier reported killed since the onset of the ground operation in Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility, stating that they had successfully ambushed an Israeli force in Rafah, resulting in the death and injury of all members of that force.

According to the latest figures released by the Israeli occupation army, at least 714 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 4,448 have been injured since October 7, 2023.
