BADGDAD, Sept. 11 (YPA) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, arrived in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday, leading a high-level delegation in response to an official invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
The visit is set to last three days.
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported that Pezeshkian, will hold “official bilateral meetings with senior Iraqi officials and will sign several cooperation agreements and security memoranda.
The Iranian presidency’s website noted that Pezeshkian, will also meet with Iranians in Iraq and businesspeople, and he will visit Najaf, Karbala, and Basra.
This visit marks Pezeshkian’s first foreign trip since his election on July 28.
