STC forces kidnap citizen in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Forces affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), kidnapped a citizen from Lahj province, southern Yemen,  and took him to an unknown location, local sources said on Friday.

The sources explained that the STC forces abducted the citizen, Bakil Issam Hazzaa, from the governorate.

They added that Bakil Hazzaa, who has been searching for his father, Sheikh Issam Hazzaa, who was abducted by the STC nearly two months ago, was himself kidnapped by the STC on Friday.

The sources indicated that the reason for Bakil Hazzaa’s abduction was his leadership in efforts to demand the release of his father.

The news of Bakil Hazzaa’s abduction, who has been advocating for his father’s release, has sparked widespread outrage among social media users and activists.

Sheikh Issam Hazzaa, the tribal leader, has been held in secret prisons north of the capital, Aden, under the control of STC leader Hamdi Shukri for approximately two months.
