Meteorology expects rains of varying intensity in Yemen’s scattered areas

SANAA, Sept. 05 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected on Thursday rains of varying intensity in scattered areas of the Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the scattered rain may prevail over parts of Saada, Sanaa, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Bayda, Aden and Mahra, in addition to Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Dhamar, Raymah, and Hodeida.

The winds are very strong around the Socotra Archipelago, with a maximum speed of 50 knots, moderate to very strong on the eastern and southern coasts during the day, the bulletin added.

It stated that the desert areas would have clear to partly cloudy weather with the possibility of rains in some parts of them, and the winds may be moderate to active at times.

The center warned citizens of the risks of being present valleys and flood paths, and the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall, the formation of low clouds and fog.
